Local United Way Volunteers regularly assess our community and the needs of its people. Your one contribution to United Way of the Lowcountry funds 39 local charities focused on health, education, shelter, nutrition and income.

All charities supported by United Way of the Lowcountry meet strict requirements for accountability and results. Local volunteers oversee this.

Your contribution to United Way of the Lowcountry goes immediately to local charities and programs, and stays in this community. It never pays for events or advertising.

A minimum of 88 cents of every dollar, and usually more, is sent to United Way of the Lowcountry partner charities. United Way offers additional financial, marketing, strategic planning and development resources to help charities maximize your contribution.
