What is CharityTracker?

CharityTracker is a cloud-based, HIPAA-compliant database that lets us manage and share cases, and pull data for resource development, strategic planning, and measuring outcomes.

It gives community churches and nonprofit agencies a safe, secure place to work together. When agencies can see the same case record, they can coordinate around the people they both serve.

CharityTracker also turns day-to-day case notes into real data about our community, which helps United Way and our partners see what is working and decide what comes next. It lets us track how people's lives change over time, not just the crises that brought them through the door.

Why does our community need a shared database between service providers?

A shared database helps both churches and nonprofit agencies connect people to services and resources already available, which means less duplicated effort, faster response times, and better odds that a family gets what they need to stay healthy, keep working, and support themselves.

Working from the same information also shows the causes behind the problems, so agencies can put resources toward fixing the larger issue instead of patching the same emergency again and again. Agencies working together with a full view of the need can build solutions that hold, and that is how a community makes progress against poverty.

Who can use our CharityTracker network?

Nonprofit agencies in Beaufort or Jasper County that offer direct services, including housing, utilities, or medical assistance, can join the CharityTracker Network through United Way. Membership is free.

How will our community benefit from using CharityTracker?

CharityTracker gives agencies a full view of the resources they hand out and the people they serve. Reporting tools make it simple to check outcomes, measure impact, and decide next steps based on real numbers. That record keeps both the agency and the people it serves accountable.

Real-time updates mean agencies can act quickly and stop worrying about whether another organization already provided the same service. The database makes it easy to share information, send referrals, and notify one another, so help arrives fast and case management stays coordinated for everyone we serve.
